II. Membership Eligibility
To be eligible for LSBSA membership, the applicant institution must:
Be a recognized member of the International Association of Lasallian Universities (IALU).
Fit into one of the following membership categories:
Level 1 – De La Salle Core Member
Institutions with a dedicated business unit (e.g., faculty, department, or institute) that offers formal business qualifications (e.g., degrees, diplomas, certificates) and identifies with the Lasallian mission in business education.
Level 2 – De La Salle Collaborative Member
Institutions that deliver business-related programs or courses and may do so within interdisciplinary or shared academic structures, without a standalone business unit. Still aligned with Lasallian business education values.
Level 3 – Signum Fidei Contributor
Institutions that offer select business-focused courses, modules, or co-curricular programs without a defined business program structure. Participation reflects a commitment to business education within a broader Lasallian context.
Level 4 – The Encounter Affiliate
Institutions that have expressed interest or are exploring the development of business education initiatives. Engagement may be in early stages (e.g., feasibility, planning, dialogue) but signals a desire for Lasallian alignment in future business programming.
Demonstrate a commitment to Lasallian values and global business education.
Offer or plan to offer accredited undergraduate and/or graduate business programs.
Maintain a track record of institutional stability, ethical leadership, and international engagement.
III. Application Process
Step 1: Expression of Interest
Submit a formal letter of intent to the LSBSA Board addressing the institution's motivation for joining, Lasallian alignment, membership level, and overview of business offerings.
Step 2: Pre-Application Consultation
Engage in a virtual consultation with the LSBSA Board to review membership expectations, membership benefits, and responsibilities. This step ensures alignment with LSBSA’s mission and helps guide institutions in preparing their applications.
Step 3: Application Submission
Upon completion of the pre-application consultation, the school must submit a formal application, including:
Completed LSBSA application form (see Section VI).
Institutional profile (mission, vision, strategy).
Accreditation and program documentation.
Statement of Lasallian commitment.
Endorsement letters (university leadership and faculty).
Evidence of partnerships or collaboration with Lasallian or Catholic institutions
Step 4: Peer Review and Site Visit
An LSBSA Membership Review Panel, consisting of representatives from existing member schools, will evaluate applications. If needed, the panel may conduct an on-site or virtual assessment to verify institutional alignment with LSBSA principles.
Step 5: Approval
The Membership Review Panel will submit recommendations to the LSBSA Board for final approval. The Board will vote on new memberships during a formal meeting, ensuring a rigorous and transparent process.
Step 6: Membership Agreement and Induction
Upon approval, the new member school must sign a formal Membership Agreement outlining roles, responsibilities, and expectations. New members will be formally introduced during the annual LBSA General Assembly, where they will participate in an orientation session to integrate them into the alliance’s governance and initiatives.
IV. Member Responsibilities
All LSBSA member institutions are expected to actively contribute to the growth, visibility, and collaborative mission of the Alliance. Responsibilities include:

V. Annual Reporting Requirements
On the anniversary of acceptance into LSBSA, each member institution is expected to reaffirm its engagement and contribution to the network by completing the following:
1. Submit an Annual Impact Report
Complete the standardized LSBSA Annual Impact Report form, which captures qualitative and quantitative data across the following domains:
Institutional highlights and innovations
Contributions to LSBSA initiatives (e.g., events, working groups, publications)
Notable achievements in alignment with Lasallian values (e.g., equity, inclusion, sustainability)
Challenges faced and areas for potential collaboration within the Alliance
Note: The report serves both as an accountability tool and a mechanism for highlighting institutional accomplishments within LSBSA publications and regional showcases.
2. Update Membership Profile
Provide a revised institutional profile that includes any significant changes in:
Organizational and structural updates (e.g., mergers, creation of new units, name changes)
Academic program offerings, including new degrees, certificates,
microcredentials, or accreditations obtained/lapsed

liaisons, and communications leads
Strategic priorities or developments that may influence or intersect with LSBSA areas of focus (e.g., new international collaborations, industry partnerships, research themes)
This profile ensures that the Alliance’s directories, engagement rosters, and communication
channels remain accurate and functional.
